Quinnsoft MP3 Player 4.11

Due to the lack of maintainability of the QSMP3 code, there are no plans to continue developing QSMP3. Fixing the bugs and performance issues would require a complete rewrite of the software. The download remains here for archival purposes. It is strongly recommended that you use a better alternative, especially now that rating systems (the one thing I believe QSMP3 did well at one time) have been implemented in most major MP3 players since QSMP3's release. QSMP3 may have served its purpose at one time, but no longer. What follows is the original description of QSMP3:

QSMP3 is a powerful, fast, easy-to-use MP3 player. Not only does QSMP3 play MP3s, but it lets you rate each song on a scale of 1 to 100 and generate intelligent playlists based on that.

Tuesday, April 12, 2005: Quinnsoft MP3 Player 4.11 has been released! This version adds support for the Next/Prev Track, Stop, Play, and Mute buttons on most keyboards.

Monday, April 11, 2005: Quinnsoft MP3 Player 4.1 has been released! The new features are as follows:

--Duplicate file finder will find and (optionally) delete any duplicate MP3 file (based on either Artist and Title or Artist, Title, and Album) and keep either the largest or smallest file size.
--Playlist Find feature allows you to search your current playlist for any text in either the artist or title. Additionally, if you type {PLLEN} in the Find window, QSMP3 will tell you how long your playlist is.
--In the search results window, you will now have the option to add the results to the current playlist (as opposed to a new playlist).
--The "shuffle bug", which would occur by clicking Shuffle too many times in succession, has been fixed.
--Library CleanUp will now remove 0-byte files from the library.
--Other miscellaneous bugs have been fixed.

Automatic addition of MP3 files improved An amazingly comprehensive library search feature, including spelling corrections, even if the "correct" spelling is by definition incorrect

"Rating Bar" allows you to simply click on a bar to rate a song; the higher you click, the higher you rate the song
New web component download customizes your installation to download what you need, and nothing more. Great for dialup users.
Visual Basic 6 Runtime libraries no longer required!

Lyrikal allows viewing lyrics to the currently playing song with the click of a mouse button

"Queue" button to queue highlighted song to be next to be played.
